And again I ask: what is there about this to ‘dislike’? Who’s opposed to what IJ is doing?

As a Denver cabbie, all I can say is….good luck with that one. -sigh. Here 2 cab companies “own” the medallions and charge 600/800 dollars a week per car/van/prius. The other two “co-ops” are limited in how many cars they can have and both of those have waiting lists a year long to drive…plus the buy-in on the license (medallion) is expensive as hell, but still worth the money. This industry is very like a government sanctioned mafia scam. But nothing changes as politicians are owned.

Best of luck to the cab drivers! Hopefully the courts side for justice and not corruption!
